At the time of the 1911 England Census Amy Grace Wenham, age 19, born in Islington London, commercial clerk for celluloid manufacturer, was with her parents at 58 Beech Hall Rd., Highams Park, Walthamstow, Essex.

In the 1939 Register Amy G Newbery (b. 5 Sep 1891), unpaid domestic duties, and husband Harold G Newbery (b. 14 Mar 1886), tobacconist & confectioner dealer, were living at 30 Tor Hill Road, Torquay, Devon. At the same address were [sons] Derek G. Newbery (b. 26 Dec 1919), gas company stores clerk, wages..., and Ronald R Newbery (b. 5 Feb 1930), school.

In May 1943 Amy Grace Newbery, widow, was granted Administration of her late husband's personal effects, as was her son Derek George Newbery, gas company employee.

FUNERAL OF MRS. A. G. NEWBERY

The funeral of Mrs. Amy G. Newbery of Torquay took place at Torquay Cemetery on Saturday, the service being taken by the Rev. P. Sands.

Principal mourners were Mr. Derek and Mrs. Dorothy Newbery (son and daughter-in-law); Mr. Ron Newbery (son); Mr. Arnold Carruthers (son-in-law); and Miss Kathleen Banks.
