Mourners were Mr. and Mrs. G. Newick, Mr. and Mrs. Wenman, Mrs. Snepp, Mr. W. Keel, Mrs. B. Newick, Mr. and Mrs. J. Newick, Mr. Fred Newick, Mrs. Matthews, Mrs. J. Newick, junr., Mrs. Hicks, Miss E. Kentish Express, 15 March 1940, p. 9. Note that a similar article published in the Sevenoaks Chronicle and Kentish Advertiser on the same date incorrectly refers to the deceased as Miss M. E. Newick. The GROE death index, however, correctly identifies her as Mary Ann Newick.
