Abstract of the Will of Thomas Anwyl of Dyffryn gwyn in the Parish of Towyn in the County of Merioneth, Tanner, written 22 Feb 1842, Codicil 30 Apr 1847, proved 12 Aug 1847.
Gives & bequeaths £100 each to his daughters Elizabeth, Ann and Mary.
Gives & bequeaths £30 to his grandson Thomas Anwyl Smith son of his late daughter Margaret the late wife of John Smith of or late of Rhiwabon in county Denbigh, joiner. And in default of his dying before his 21st year, he gives & bequeaths the same to his said daughters Elizabeth, Ann & Mary.
Gives & bequeaths to his said three daughters 3 tables, 9 chairs, fender, cupboard and its contents, mantlepiece ornaments, 3 feather beds, 3 pillows, a chest of drawers, linnen chest, 3 quilts, 3 pair of blanket, 1 looking glass, 1 wash hand stand, 1 clock, 1 dresser and plates, dishes, coppers and tin fire things, share & share alike.
All the rest & residue of his personal estate he gives & bequeaths to his son Evan Anwyl, whom he ordain, nominates, constitutes & appoints sole executor of his last will and testament.

Codicil
Gives & bequeaths to his daughter Elizabeth Anwyl a wardrobe and bed which were bought at the sale of the goods of the late Mrs Hughes of Aberdovey.
Revokes the legacies or sums of £100 he gave to his daughters Ann and Mary. Instead, he gives & bequeaths £50 to his daughter Ann the wife of John Pugh, and £40 to his daughter Mary the wife of Thomas Thomas. 4
