In 1841 Mr Anthony Morgan, aged about 60, farmer, was living in Hendre Llwyngwril, Llangelynin, Merioneth. Present was daughter Ann, aged about 20.

Abstract of the Will of Anthony Morgan of Hendre in the Parish of Llangelynin in the County of Merioneth, Gentleman, written 28 Dec 1820, proved 26 Aug 1845.

Gives & bequeaths to John Williams of Dolgelley in county Merioneth, surgeon, and Barnard Dickinson of Coalbrookdale in county Salop, banker, all his real estate in the parish of Llangelynin or elsewhere in the county of Merioneth upon Trust to demise or mortgage said real estate after his decease and take up at interest the sum of £2,000 for the equal benefit of his younger children after they severally attain the age of twenty-one years.

Devises that out of his said real estate an annuity of £15 should be paid to his wife Catherine for the term of her natural life.

Gives & bequeaths all his said real estate to his son Anthony Thomas Morgan.

Gives & bequeaths £50 to his wife Catherine over and above what she is entitled to at his decease in case she shall survive him under and by virtue of certain articles of agreement entered into prior to his marriage with her and made between Griffith Evans Gentleman of the first part, his said wife Catherine then Catherine Evans spinster of the second part, and him the said Anthony Morgan of the third part.

Nominates and appoints the said John Williams and Barnard Dickinson trustees and guardians of his said younger children during their several minorities.

All the rest and residue of his personal estate he gives & bequeaths to his said son Anthony Thomas Morgan whom he also nominates, constitutes & appoints sole executor of his last will and testament.
