A settlement prior to her union with John Owen of Clenenney, Esq. bears date 12th April, 14 James I (1617). The covenants, indeed, for her marriage, and that of her nephew Richard Vaughan...are included in the same deed. Her intended husband was at this time of about the age of 17, but she was perhaps older for she appears to have been married previously to John Griffith, Esq. of Tref Arthen, in Anglesey. 1
