In 1861 Mary Ann Hill (46) of Llanaber Merioneth, officer's wife, and husband John Hill (52) of Derby, retired quarter master from 4 Light Dragoons, were living in Llyntaleen, Brithdir Isaf, Merioneth. Present were children: Owen (12) of Ireland, scholar, Mary Owen (11) of Ireland, scholar, Desmond (6) of Brighton Sussex, scholar.

Bequeathed £5 in the Will of her brother Owen Owen of Perthillwydion, Gent. (proved 1866), by then married to John Hill of Werngoch.

In 1871 Mary Ann Hill (56) of Barmouth Merioneth and husband John Hill (63) of St. Peters Derbyshire, retired captain farming 24 acres, were living in Werngoch Dolgelley Merioneth. Present were children: Mary Owen (21) of Ireland, Desmond T. (16) of Brighton Sussex

In 1881 Mary A. Hill (65) of Dyffryn Merioneth and husband John Hill (73) of Derby Derbyshire, farmer of 24 acres, pay Captain Army, were living in Wern Goch farm house, Dolgelley Merioneth. Present were children: Owen (32) of Newbridge Kildare Ireland, clerk, unmarried, Mary Owen (30) of Athlone Roscommon Ireland, unmarried

In 1891 Mary Anne Hill (76) of Llanaber Merioneth, widow, annuitant & farmer, was living in Werngoch Dolgelley. Present were children (single): Owen (42) of Newbridge Ireland, Mary O. (40) of Athlone Ireland.
