Research Notes:
The name of Griffith's and Catherine's daughter who married Lewis ANWYL of Hengae does not appear in either of their Wills. In the Will of Griffith VAUGHAN of Dolmelynllyn (1700) he names his son-in-law Lewis ANWYL. Of his daughters, Griffith names Elizabeth, Anne and Ellen. In the Will of Griffith's widow, Catherine VAUGHAN of Dolmelynllyn (1718), she names Elizabeth (unmarried), and Jane, Anne and Ellen, all married: Jane to Lewis OWEN of Waenfach, Anne to Robert LLOYD of Ddu Allt and Ellen to Owen TYDDER of Cefn rowen. Catherine also names her son-in-law Lewis ANWYL of Hengae along with his two sons William and Griffith.
In other words, the wife of Lewis ANWYL, daughter of Griffith VAUGHAN & Catherine JONES, died before her father wrote his Will.
