In 1819 Thomas Roods was a residuary legatee of his father's Will.

In Jun 1843 Thomas Roods was the sole executor of the Will of his brother George Roods of Hastings, gentleman.

In Feb 1847 Thomas Roods of 67 Great Russell Street, St. George Bloomsbury, Middlesex, gentleman, was co-executor and a residuary legatee of the Will of his late sister Maria wife of David Matthews of Saint Alphage in the city of Canterbury.

The Will with two codicils of Thomas Roods formerly of 40 Gloucester-crescent Regents Park in the County of Middlesex but late of Moor House in the County of Sussex, artist, who died 17 March 1871 at Moor House, was proved 12 June at the Principal Registry by William Edward Roods of Stoneham near Lewes in the County of Sussex, farmer, the brother, the sole executor. Effects under £3,000. 3
