At the time of the 1841 England Census John Sinnock, aged about 27, gate keeper, and wife Mary Sinnock, aged about 26, were living in Turnpike, St John Hampstead, Edmonton, Middlesex. With them was daughter Sarah, aged about 4. None of them were born in the county.

At the time of the 1851 England Census John Sinnock, age 37, born in Selmeston Surrey [Sussex], widower, footman, was a servant at Millfield House, Millfield Lane, Saint Pancras, London. At the same address was [his daughter] Sarah J Sinnock, age 14, born in Firle Surrey [Sussex], servant.

In Jun 1859 Sarah Jane Sinnock was named as a beneficiary in the Will of her maternal grandmother Sarah Vine of Wilmington Sussex, widow.

At the time of the 1861 England Census John Sinnock, age 48, born in Sitmiston [Selmeston] Sussex, widower, footman, was in Millfield Lane, Saint Pancras, London. At the same address was [his daughter] Sarah Jane Sinnock, age 24, born in Firle Sussex.
