  Research Notes:

In 1612 Martha Akeherst was bequeathed £40 in her father's Will.

Writing his Will in Sep 1629, Elias Swaine 'the Elder' of Hailsham decreed that if Martha, the wife of his son Elias, should outlive her husband, then she will receive the profits of a piece of land called "the Hale" until her son Elias reaches the age of twenty-one years.

In 1645 Martha was a residuary legatee of her mother's Will.
