In 1851 Thomas Cook, aged 15, born in Chute, plough boy, was with his parents in Upper Chute, Wiltshire.

In 1871 Thomas Cooke, aged 34, born in Chute Wilts, private in 1/23 regiment, single, was in district barracks, St. Mary Breconshire Wales.

In 1881 Thomas Cook, aged 44, born in Chute Wilts, corn dealer's porter, and wife Jane*, aged 34, born in Maple Durwell Hants were living in Marlborough St., Andover Hampshire. Present was son Thomas P. (1) of Andover
