In 1851 Maria Chatfield, aged 26, born in Burbage Wiltshire, widow, laundress, was living at 5 William St., St. Margaret Westminster London. With her was son George (3) of Middlesex

In 1861 Maria Loome, aged 40 [sic], born in Burbage Wiltshire and [2nd] husband Edward Loome, aged 45, born in Norwich Norfolk, pensioner (coldstream guards), were living in Spitalfields, Norwich Thorpe, Norfolk. Present were children: Edward (6) of Westminster London, scholar, Maria (5) of London Middlesex, scholar

In 1871 Maria Loome, aged 47, born in Burbage Wiltshire, laundress, and husband Edward Loome, aged 54, born in Norwich Norfolk, out pensioner C.S. Guards, lame, were living in Spitalfields, Norwich, Norfolk. Present were children Edward (16) of London, apprentice cooper, Maria (14) of London.

In 1881 Maria Loome, aged 56, born in Collingborne Wood Wiltshire, widow, laundress, was living in Jermys Building, St. Clement, Norwich, Norfolk.

The Will of Maria Loome late of Jarmy's-buildings New Catton in the City of Norwich, widow, written 1 Jan 1884, proved 4 Nov 1884. 5

This is the last Will and Testament of me Maria Loome of Jarmys Buildings New Catton, Norwich, Widow. First I appoint Henry Edward Andrews of Magdalen Street Norwich, Farrier, and Daniel Preston of Jarmys Buildings aforesaid, Shoemaker, Executors of this my Will. I direct my said Executors as soon as conveniently can be after my decease to collect all monies due and owing to me and to pay thereout all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses.

I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Edward Mark Loome One Feather bed.

I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Maria Wife of Henry Francis Andrews One Feather bed.

I give devise and bequeath unto Son Esau George Chatfield my Mahogany Dining Table.

And I further direct my said Executor that they shall after having handed over to my said Children as above stated divide all remaining Furniture Money Wearing apparel and all other my effects equally between my said Children Edward Mark Loome, Maria Andrews, and Esau George Chatfield share and share alike.

And lastly revoking all former Wills by me made I declare this to be my last. As witness my hand this first day of January one thousand eight hundred and eighty four.

Signed by the said Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us together present who in her presence and at her request have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses.

The Testatrix Maria Loome was late of Jarmys Buildings, New Catton in the City of Norwich, Widow, and died on the twenty second day of October 1884 at Jarmys Buildings aforesaid.
