In 1841, Mary Toy (50), widow, was with [her son] Stephen Toy and his family in Halwen, Wendron.
In 1851, Mary Toy (65) of Wendron, widow, pauper, was with her son Stephen and his family in Halwin, Wendron.

Even though Mary's age in the burial record (81) matches this Mary Toy, the burial date is nonetheless tentative, as this was the same Mary Toy who, in 1851, widowed, aged 78 years, was staying with her daughter Elizabeth Jenkin and her family in Hendra, Wendron. However, Elizabeth Toy's marriage to William Jenkin (1847) shows Elizabeth's father as John Toy, even though Elizabeth was of Halwin at the time of her marriage. It is possible there is an error in the marriage record.
