compiler's 8 x great-grandmother

  Research Notes:

William Bray is generally shown in secondary sources as the father of Agnes Bray, although I've been unable to find any documentation to substantiate this. It seems more likely that Agnes was the unnamed daughter of Henry Bray (elder brother of William) who was christened 21 Feb 1630 in Camborne. It should be noted that there are a couple of private submissions to the IGI which identify this unnamed Bray female with Margaret (Marget), daughter of Henry, who was buried 2 Aug 1646, and for whom there is no christening record. However, it seems more likely that Margaret falls between sons Henry (chr. 14 Mar 1641/2) and Arthur (chr. 9 Nov 1645), noting that there is a hiatus of six months in the register (1643-1644) due to 'Civil War days'.
