The following is quoted from a letter to Mr. John Gore from Hans H. Francksen of Germany:
"Of Hayo Christian Bohlsen, whose name I found there [in Langwarden], it is known only that he was born in 1733 in Ostfriesland. But Osfriesland is a large province. Where should I start with my search there?..." (Letter dated 27 Nov 1991)
