At the time of the 1901 England Census Henry John Bristow, age 27, born in Tonbridge Kent, general labourer, and wife Cecilia, age 25, born in Tonbridge, were living at 6 Pembury Grove, Tonbridge. With them was daughter Emily F C (4) of Tonbridge.
At the time of the 1911 England Census Henry John Bristow, age 36, born in Tonbridge Kent, bricklayer, and wife of 14 years Cecilia, age 34, born in Tonbridge (mother of 1 child), were living in Ancient Druids, Tonbridge Kent. LATE MR. H. J. BRISTOW.—The death occurred on Thursday of last week of Mr. Henry John Bristow, of 3 Lavender Hill. The funeral took place at Tonbridge Cemetery on Tuesday, when the service was conducted by the Rev. D. J. C. Speed-Andrews. Mr. Bristow was the eldest son of the late Mr. Henry Bristow, who was a member of one of Tonbridge's oldest families, which had been connected with the town for 400 years. Chief mourners were his wife, daughter and grandson, Mrs. Smith (sister), Siby and Vic, Sam and May, Mary and Ellen, Bill and Eliza, Jim and Emily, Mary and Ivy....
