With them were sons (born in Eastbourne): Henry (4), Jacob (2), along with servant Agnes Deacon (14) of Ripe and boarder Alic Deacon (11) of Ripe.

In Dec 1876 Joseph Richard Mockett was present at the marriage of his brother John Fennell Mockett to Sarah Ann Jenner in Eastbourne Sussex.

With them were children (born in Eastbourne): Henry (25), boatman, John (19), boatman, William (18), blacksmith, Alfred (16), plumber, Kate L. (15), Edwin (9), scholar, and nephew Edwin Deacon (10), brewer's labourer.
