In 1851 James Lingard (42) of Saltfleet, journeyman shipwright, and wife Elizabeth (40) of Gt Grimsby, were living in Lower Burgess Street, Great Grimsby, Lincs. Present were children (born in Gt Grimsby): Mary A. (19), dress maker, James (11), scholar, Jane (9), scholar, Sarah (7), scholar, lodger Richard Nundy (50) of Gt Grimsby, proprietor of houses

In 1861 James Lingard (53) of Surfleet, shipwright, and wife Elizabeth (50) of Grimsby, were visiting Robert & Rebecca Evison in Frieston Fen, Lincs. With them was daughter Sarah Lingard (16) of Grimsby, dressmaker.
