At the time of the 1851 England Census Caroline Vinall, age 18, born in New Shoreham, assistant, was with her mother and father-in-law* in High Street, New Shoreham.

* Caroline's mother married as her second husband Richard Nelson Harvey in 1845.

In Jan 1853 Caroline Vinall was present at the marriage of her 1st cousin Elizabeth Budgen to William West Badcock in New Shoreham Sussex.

At the time of the 1861 England Census Caroline A Trangmar, age 28, born in New Shoreham, and husband Edwin Trangmar, age 28, born in Brighton, railway clerk, were living in Church Street, New Shoreham. With them were children (born in New Shoreham): Harry A (2), and Caroline A (9 mo).
