Herfast and four sisters, presumably of Viking origin. Their parents are not known, and there is no guarantee that they all shared the same father and mother.

[Osbern's] parentage is confirmed by Guillaume of Jumièges who records the murder of [Herfast's son] “Osbernus...procurator principalis domus, Herfasti Gunnoris comitissæ fratris filius“. Orderic Vitalis records that “Osbernus Herfasti filius” was “de pago Calcegio oriundus”, although in the context of a passage which is anachronistic.

The name of Herfast's wife is not known. ²
