At the time of the 1861 England Census Charles Moor, age 48, born in Lewes Sussex, married [sic], butcher, was living at 14 Edwards Street Brighton St. Peter. Present were Ann Copley (45) of Firle, married, housekeeper, and Harriet Mockett (22) of Firle, unmarried, servant.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Charles Moore, age 58, born in Lewes Sussex, married [sic], butcher, was lodging with Harriet Mockett, age 32, born in West Firle, unmarried, lodging house keeper.
