At the time of the 1861 Harriett Mockett, age 22, born in Firle Sussex, was working as a servant for Charles Moor, butcher, at 14 Edward St., Brighton St. Peter. Harriet's aunt, Ann Copley, was housekeeper.

At the time of the 1871 Harriett Mockett, age 32, born in West Ferle Sussex, unmarried, boarding house keeper, was at 43 Wood St., Brighton St. Peter. With her were children: Kate Mockett (7) of Lewes, scholar, Chas. M. Mockett (5) of Brighton, scholar, Susan M Mockett (3) of Brighton, Ht Elizabeth Mockett (1) of Brighton. Boarding was Charles Moore (58) of Lewes, butcher.

In Oct 1872 Harriett Mockett of 44 Gloucester-street, spinster, was the sole executrix of the Will of Charles Moor of 44 Gloucester-street Brighton Sussex, butcher.

At the time of the 1881 Harriet Sayers, age 41, born in Firle, and husband William Sayers, age 31, born in Brighton Sussex, butcher, were living at 17 Etruria St., Battersea London. Present were children: Charles* (15) of Brighton, Betsy* (11) of Brighton, Emily (6) of Brighton, Thomas (1) of Battersea Surrey.

At the time of the 1891 Harriet Sayers, age 51, born in Firle Sussex, and husband William Sayers, age 40, born in Brighton Sussex, butcher Metropolitan meat market?, were living at 8 New Road, Clapham London. With them were children (born in Battersea London): Thomas (11), scholar, and Alice R (9), scholar. At the same address was Harriet's son Charles Sayers and his family.
