Adelise DE BELLÊME 1
- Born: Domfront, Orne, Normandy, France
- Married: Before 1041
Research Notes:
Her parentage is suggested by Orderic Vitalis who records that the great-grandfather of Rotrou [III] Comte du Perche was Guerin "quem dæmones suffocaverunt". It is also suggested by the reference in the same source to her son Geoffroy having a justified claim to Domfront, a castle which had been constructed by Adelise’s paternal grandfather. The source which confirms her name has not been identified. 2
Marriage Information:
Adelise married Vcte Rotrou II DE CHÂTEAUDUN, Seigneur de Nogent, son of Vcte Geoffroi II DE CHÂTEAUDUN, sn de Mortagne-au-Perche et de Nogent-le-Rotrou, and Helvide DE PITHIVIERS, before 1041. (Rotrou II DE CHÂTEAUDUN was born about 1026 in Châteaudun, Eure-et-Loir, Beauce/Centre, France and died about 1 Mar 1079-1080 in Nogent-le-Roi, Eure-et-Loire, Beauce/Centre, France.)
