The Genealogia Fundatoris of Coventry Monastery records that “Algarum…comes Lincoln, dictus…Egga” was the son of “Leofricus comes Leicestriæ, tempore Ethelbaldi regis Merciorum”, lived “tempore Offæ, Kenulfi et Withlafi regum” (757-839), and was buried in Croyland abbey.

The name of Alfgar´s wife is not known. ¹
