At the time of the 1871 England Census Luther Dearing, aged 25, born in Hellingly, ag labourer, was with his parents in Upper Dicker, Hellingly.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Luther Dearing, aged 35, born in Hellingly, brickmaker, and wife Eliza, aged 33, born in Horsted Keynes Sussex, were living at 19 Brook St., Hailsham Sussex. Present was son Samuel (2) of Hailsham.

In 1882 Luther Dearing, brick maker, was co-executor of his father's Will.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Luther Dearing, aged 55, born in Hellingly, brickmaker, and wife Eliza, aged 53, born in Horsted Keynes Sussex, were living at 12 Lintons Lane, Epsom Surrey. With them was son Samuel Luther (22) of Hailsham Sussex, brickyard labourer.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Luther Dearing, aged 65, born in Hellingly, widower, brick & tile maker, was with his son Samuel and his family at 27 Providence Place, Epsom Surrey.
