With them were children: James (13) of Hellingly, baker's boy, Ellen Elizabeth (11) of Horsted Keynes Sussex, Gotobed (8) of Ely Cambs, scholar, George (7) of Ely, scholar, William (3) of Ely, and Harry (7 mo) of Ely.
At the time of the 1861 England Census Susan Mitchell, aged 46, born in Hellingly Sussex, potter's wife, and husband James Mitchell, aged 55, born in Hellingly, potter, were living in West Street, Reigate Surrey.
