Married Udilhildis, daughter of ---. The Vita Lodewici comitis de Arnstein names "Udelhildis" as wife of "in castro Arnstein…comes…Lodewicus", adding that she died "III Non Iul". The necrology of Arnstein an der Lahn records the death 5 Jul of "Udelhyldis comitisse de Udenkirche, que fuit mater Ludewici fundatoris nostri in Arnsteyn". This last document suggests that she married secondly --- Graf von Odenkirchen. ¹
