At the time of the 1861 England Census Edward Britcher, age 27, born in Boxley Kent, farmer's son, was with his parents in Gove Farm, Otham Kent.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Edward Britcher, age 37, born in Boxley Kent, farmer [of] 28 acres [employing] 2 men, and wife Agnes, age 29, born in Otham Kent, were living in Marl Pit Farm, Boughton Monchelsea Kent. With them was son Edward L (5) of Boughton Mon[chelsea], scholar.

In Mar 1874 Edward Britcher of Boughton Monchelsea, farmer, was co-executor of the Will of his father-in-law Phineas Dudding of Otham, farmer.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Edward Britcher, age 47, born in Boxley, married, grocer & beer seller, farmer of 12 acres employing 5 men & [a] boy, was living in Marl Pitt Farm, 1 Cock Street, Boughton Monchelsea Kent. Present were sons (born in Boughton Mon): Edward E (15, farmer's son, Sydney (8), scholar, Burnard V (6), scholar.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Edward Britcher, age 56, born in Boxley, married, farm manager, was living in Boughton Rd. (Listed Lodge), Chart Sutton Kent. With him were sons (born in Boughton Monchelsea): Edward L (25), farm manager, Sidney (18), agricultural labourer, Bernard V (16), agricultural labourer.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Edward Britcher, age 67, born in Boxley, married, jobbing gardener, was boarding at Idens no. 6, Boughton Monchelsea Kent.
