Writing his Will in Dec 1721 Henry Burtenshaw of Cuckfield, yeoman, named Jane Pilbeame as the mother of William Johnson late of Wivelsfield deceased who had been married to Mary the daughter of Henry's brother Richard Burtenshaw.

In Aug 1727 Jane was co-executor and a residuary legatee of the Will of her husband John Pilbeam of Lindfield.
