Abstract of the Will of Francis Cumber of the Parish of Ardingly in the County of Sussex, Yeoman, written 13 Dec 1700, proved 23 Oct 1701. 4

(Names of family members are underlined.)

Gives to his daughter Mary Cumber a little field called Jenking's Croft. He also gives her the featherbed in the corner chamber with the steadle and bolsters.

Gives 10 shillings to his godson Francis Cumber son of his brother John Cumber.

All the rest of his goods and chattels he gives to his wife Elizabeth whom he makes sole executor of his last will and testament.
