"Guillelmus Amanei de Benavias et uxor eius Amalvina" donated two serfs to Grande-Sauve for "filio suo Guillelmo Amanei" who was on crusade, by charter dated to [1097]. William of Tyre names "Guilhermus Amaneus" among those present at the capture of Antioch in 1098.
