At the time of the 1891 England Census Jonathan Huggett, age 27, born in Lewes Sussex, baker, and wife Elizabeth, age 26, born in Lewes, were living at 8 Queen St., St. John Lewes Sussex. Present were son Walter J (2) of Lewes, and visitor Minie Elphick (17) of Brighton, cook & domestic servant.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Jonathan Huggett, age 36, born in Lewes Sussex, bread baker (own account), and wife Elizabeth A, age 34, born in Lewes, were living at 11 West St., All Saints Lewes. With them were sons (born in Lewes): Walter J (12) and Fredk. C (9).
