At the time of the 1911 England Census Lucy Funnell, age 31, born in Firle, mother of two children, and husband of 6 years Herbert Funnell, age 30, born in Lewes, wheelwright, were living at 16 Morris Road, Cliffe, Lewes. With them were children (born in Newhaven): Lucey Marjorie (6) and Herbert John (4).

FUNNELL.—On December 18th, 1935, Lucy Funnell, of 187, St. Helen's-road, Hastings, widow of the late Herbert Funnell, aged 55. Interment Lewes Cemetery, to-day (Saturday), at 11.45 a.m.
