  Research Notes:

Of Poynton and Stockport, Cheshire, Woodplumpton, Lancashire, Booton and Skeyton, Norfolk, Ratley, Warwickshire &c., son and heir aged 24 years in 1418. In 1419 he was summoned as one of 30 spearman out of Cheshire for the defense of the kingdom. In 1420 he was summoned to go with the king to France and is said to have remained there until the death of the king at Vincennes in 1422. In 1436 he gave recognizance to the king for 500 marks that he and his son, John, would keep the peace toward John Dokenfeld. About 1440 he was sued unsuccessfully by Otwell Worsley, Esq., for the manors of Stockport, Poynton, Bredbury, etc. He died shortly before 30 Jul 1444. 4
