At the time of the 1901 England Census Alice M. M. Day, age 32, born in Newick Sussex, and husband Alfred Day, age 34, born in Chailey Sussex, police constable, were living in County Police Station, Hurstpierpoint Sussex. With them were daughters (born in Balcombe Sussex): Alice M (7), Lottie M (6).

In Jul 1904 Alice Day was present at the marriage of her brother Charles Edward Simmons to Charlotte Ellen Brooker in East Grinstead Sussex.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Alice Maud Mary Day, age 42, born in Newick Sussex, mother of 2 children, and husband of 19 years Alfred Day, age 45, born in Chailey Sussex, police constable, East Sussex Constabulary, were living in Police Station, Cuckfield Sussex. With them were daughters (born in Balcombe Sussex): Alice Maud (17), milliner's assistant, and Lottie Mary (16), dressmaker's assistant.

In the 1939 Register Alice M M Day (b. 22 Oct 1868), unpaid domestic duties, and husband Alfred Day (b. 13 May 1867), retired police officer, were living at 1 Bellevue Broad Street, Cuckfield, Sussex.

In Mar 1945 Alice Maud Mary Day, widow, was granted Probate of her late husband's personal effects.
