In 1841 Jno. Edmund (55), farmer, and wife Cath. were living in Gwndwn, Trawsfynydd. Present were son Robert (20), [father-in-law] Lewis Griffith (80), ind[ependent].

In 1851 John Edmund (65) of Llanycil, farmer of 154 acres, and wife Catherine (61) of Trawsfynydd were living in Gwndwn, Trawsfynydd. Present were son Robert (31) of Trawsfynydd, unmarried, grandson John Jones (11) of Trawsfynydd.

Abstract of the Will of John Edmund of Gwndwn in the Parish of Trawsfynydd in the County of Merioneth, farmer, written 23 Aug 1855, proved 1 Mar 1856.

Gives and bequeaths £10 to his grandson John Jones son of Cadwalader Jones by his daughter Jane.

Gives and bequeaths £10 to his grandson Robert Jones of Wern bâch.

Gives and bequeaths £10 to his grandson Lewis Jones of Wern bâch.

Gives and bequeaths £10 to his granddaughter Martha Lloyd of the same place.

Nominates and appoints David Jones of Bryn hir and Richard Evans of Goppa, both in the parish of Trawsfynydd, to be guardians of his said grandsons and granddaughter, to take care of their money and lay it out at interest until they attain the age of twenty-one years.

Gives and bequeaths to his wife Catherine Edmunds and his son Robert Jones all his farming stock, implements of husbandry and household furniture at Gwndwn, share and share alike.

Gives and bequeaths to his son Robert Jones of Gwndwn his farm called Wern bâch in the parish of Trawsfynydd, together with the lands and hereditaments belonging to it.

All the rest, residue and remainder of his goods and personal estate he gives and bequeaths to his said son Robert Jones whom he nominates, constitutes and appoints sole executor of his last will and testament.
