Guillaume of Jumièges records that ”Willelmum Talavatium” married “Ala...quæ fuerat antea uxor ducis Burgundiæ” [incorrect], and had “duos filios et totidem filias” of whom “filiorum primogenitus Wido” was made “patre vivente...comes Pontivi”. "Guido comes Pontivi" donated property to Cîteaux with the consent of "pater eius Willelmus comes…et mater eius Hela" by charter dated 18 Dec 1139, signed by "Guido comes et uxor sua Ida".
He left on crusade in 1146.
