In 1911 David Parry (11) of Llangelynin, attending council school, was living with his widowed mother on Hendre farm, Llwyngwril.

In the 1939 Register David Jones Parry (b. 22 Mar 1900), dairy and sheep farmer, and wife Elsie May (b. 8 Jun 1906) were living on Hendre Hall Farm, Dolgelley R.D., Merionethshire, Wales. Present were children: Gordon (b. 12 Dec 1934) and Margaret (b. 1 Mar 1938), brother Ellis Jones Parry (b. 4 Mar 1897), dairy and sheep farmer, single.
