Carlin, Margaret Jane Fenley
BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Margaret Jane Fenley Carlin, age 83, passed away in Birmingham, Ala., where she had lived all her married life. She was born July 17, 1923, in Mineral Point, to James and Verda Huxtable Fenley. She graduated from Mineral Point High School and Madison Business College. She married Johnnie Carlin Nov. 15, 1943. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before his death Saturday, April 7, 2007, two days before Margaret. Margaret was a homemaker and had a talent for crafts. Many of her items are found in homes of family and friends. Margaret is survived by a son, Ron (Julia) Carlin; a daughter, Kathy (Bobby) Wright of Birmingham; daughter-in-law, Jackie Carlin of Hawaii; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Verda (Larry) Moran of Carmel, Ind.; brother, Dale (Jan) of Madison; and sister-in-law, Corinne Fenley of Orinda, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie; sons, Mickey and Jimmie Carlin; grandson, Jeremy Wright; her parents; brothers, James, Kenneth and Robert Fenley; and sisters-in-law, Lois and Rita Fenley.
