Grant In Feoffment of a house and workshop in Barmouth (being the aforementioned undivided moiety) and the surrender of a term to merge in the inheritance.

Will of Griffith Owen of Barmouth, Gent., written 13 Jan 1804, proved 12 Jul 1805. 5

This is the last Will and testament of me Griffith Owen of Barmouth in the County of Merioneth Gentleman. The said Griffith Owen by virtue of every power or Authority to me in this Behalf given limited or belonging or in me vested or me in any wise enabling hereunto Do (by this my last Will and testament in writing by me duly executed in the presence of the three credible persons whose names are hereunder written as witnesses attesting the Execution hereof) give devise direct ---?--- and appoint All my Messuages Dwellinghouses or tenements farms lands and hereditaments and parts and Shares of messuages lands tenements and hereditaments situate in the several parishes of Llanaber and Llanfair in the said County of Merioneth or elsewhere in the Principality of Wales (except a Messuage or dwellinghouse situate in Barmouth aforesaid now in the occupation of Hugh Jones Weaver) unto my daughter Catherine Lloyd the Wife of William Lloyd of Barmouth aforesaid Mariner and her assigns for and during the term of her natural Life without Impeachment of waste. And from and immediately after her decease I give devise direct and appoint the same to the following Uses (that is to say) As to for and concerning all that my undivided half part or Share of and in that Messuage called Tyddynrhiddig with the appurtenances situate in the parish of Llanaber Llanfair aforesaid and also those Messuages or dwellinghouses and Garden with the appurtenances situate in the town of Barmouth aforesaid which are now in the occupation of William Lloyd, John Humphrey, Thomas Martin and Lowry Lloyd together with my seat or Bench in the Old part of the parish Church of Llanaber aforesaid whereon I generally sit and also the Bench to me belonging on the Stairs in the same church leading to the old Gallery To the use of my Grandson Griffith Lloyd his heirs and Assigns. And as to for and concerning all that my Messuage Farm and lands called Tyddynysiockyn situate in the parish of Llanfair aforesaid with the Appurtenances And also all that Messuage or dwellinghouse situate in Barmouth aforesaid with the Appurtenances now in the several Occupation of myself, Edward Timothy and Richard Matthews together my Seat or Bench in the Church of Llanaber aforesaid on part whereof Thomas Martin generally sits To the use of my Grandson Edmund Lloyd his heirs and assigns for ever. And as to for and concerning all that my Messuages or dwellinghouses situate in Barmouth with the appurtenances now in the several Occupations of Edward David and Elizabeth Jones together with a Seat or Bench to me belonging on the floor of the new part of Llanaber church aforesaid To the use of my grandaughter Elizabeth Lloyd her heirs and assigns forever. I give and bequeath unto my Son in Law William Lloyd the Sum of One Hundred Pounds. I also give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Elizabeth Lloyd the Sum of Fifty Pounds. I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Anne Lloyd the Sum of One hundred Pounds. I give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Ellin Lloyd the like Sum of One hundred Pounds. The said three last mentioned Legacies to be interests vested in my said Grandaughters respectively upon their severally attaining the age of twenty one Years or being married which shall first happen, but the said Legacies shall not be paid or payable until the death of my said Daughter Catherine Lloyd unless She shall be willing and desirous to pay the same last mentioned legacies to my three Grandaughters in her lifetime. I give and bequeath all my ready Money and Securities for Money Goods Chattels and personal Estate unto my said Daughter Catherine Lloyd to and for her own separate and peculiar Use and at her own absolute Disposal. And my Mind and Will is and I do hereby declare the same to be ---?--- the said ready Money and Securities for Money Goods chattels and personal Estate shall not be liable to the debts or Engagements of the said William Lloyd her husband and over which he shall have no power or Control whatsoever but on the contrary my said Daughter shall hold possess take enjoy and dispose thereof as if she was sole and unmarried. I nominate constitute and appoint my said daughter Catherine Lloyd sole Executrix hereof, Hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I the said Griffith Owen have to the preceding Sheet set my hand and to this Sheet my hand and seal the thirteenth day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four (1804).

The Writing contained on this and the preceding Sheet of paper was signed sealed published and declared by Griffith Owen (the Testator) above named as and for his last Will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses.

July 12 in the Year of our Lord 1805 the within written Will was insinuated, proved, approved and in common Form of Law decreed valid and Administration of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the within-named Testator Griffith Owen [was] granted to the within-named Executrix Catherine Lloyd she being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelists, as the Law direct and that his Effects were above one Thousand Pounds and below fifteen Hundred.
