Family name also spelled HAMPSEN and HAMSON. Manor of Broadwell Oddingseles: capital messuage and lands and messuage and 2 yard lands in Nether Filkins and messuage and ½ yard land in Nether Filkins, sold to Sir George Croke, Thomas Hampson and John Goulde in 1630. 4

In 1633 Thomas Hampson was named in the Will of his father-in-law Anthony Palmer of Stoke Doyle, Esq.

In 1635 Thomas Hampson son of Francis Hampson was bequeathed a gold ring in the Will of his 1st cousin once-removed Nicholas Hampson of London.

Thomas Hampson of Bradwell, Gent. left a nuncupative Will, proved 2 Sep 1640, of which his wife Martha was the sole executrix and which was witnessed by James Fetherne, Francis Willett and others. An inventory of his goods & chattels was taken and valued to £397 2s. 5

Thomas married Martha Palmer, daughter of Anthony Palmer and Mary Watts, on 17 May 1627 in St. Andrew, Holborn, London, England. (Martha Palmer was born about 1603 in Stoke Doyle, Northamptonshire, England and was buried on 19 Jan 1649 in Broadwell, Oxfordshire, England.)
