"By the death of Mrs. Mary Fraser, of "Orange Grove." Hectorville, last week, the district has lost one of its oldest and most highly respected residents. She was born at Hamilton, South Australia, 79 years ago, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moyle, who in the early days kept hotels in different parts of the State, the most important being the Rising Sun Hotel at Auburn and the Terminus Hotel on North terrace. After completing her education at Miss Thomber's school at Unley, Mrs. Fraser lived with her parents at "Orange Grove," and she remained there practically all her life. In 1884 she married Mr. Thomas Fraser, a nurseryman, and a native of Inverness Scotland. Mr. Fraser died more than 20 years ago. There is no family. Mrs. Fraser's kindly disposition and warm welcome to visitors endeared her to a large number of friends. A visit to her fine old property at "Orange Grove," situated off the Montacute road, and through which Fourth Creek passes, was indeed a pleasure. The wonderful collection of shrubs and trees, together with the layout of the garden, always made a strong appeal to those who were privileged to visit the property." ⁶

(Thomas FRASER was born in Jan 1855 in Wester, Kirk Hill, Inverness, Scotland and died on 21 Jun 1910 in Orange Grove, Blackhill-road, Hectorville, Adelaide, S.A., Australia ^{7 8}.)
