Helvise DE NEVERS
- Died: Between 1 Feb 1113 and 18 Apr 1118
She, her father and her husband are named by Orderic Vitalis. Orderic Vitalis records the bitter dispute between “Helvisa...comitissa” and “Isabelem de Conchis”, adding that Helvise was “solers...et facunda, sed atrox et avara” and that in war she rode armed like a knight, while Isabelle was “dapsilis et audax atque jocosa...amabilis et grata”. Henry II King of England confirmed the property of the abbey of Saint-Martin de Troarn, including donations by "…Willelmi comitis Ebroicensis et Helewisie uxoris sue…", by charter dated to [1155/57].
Helvise married Guillaume "Crespin" D' EVREUX Count of Evreux, son of Richard D' EVREUX Count of Evreux and Godechildis. (Guillaume "Crespin" D' EVREUX Count of Evreux died on 18 Apr 1118 and was buried in monastery of Saint-Wandrille, Fontenelle, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France.)
