"Mary Jo Clemence, 78, of Winona died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Winona Health.
Mary Jo was born Feb. 5, 1933, to John and Margaret (Haun) Hoffman in Winona. Growing up, she attended school in Winona and was a member of the 1951 graduating class.
On May 16, 1953, Mary Jo was united in marriage to Stuart Clemence in Winona. This union was blessed with five children, Thomas, Kerry, David, Jolene and Jenny.
Mary Jo was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Winona. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and was involved in the American Legion Post 9 and was past president of the auxiliary.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Thomas (Debby) Clemence of Springfield, Ill., Kerry McInnis of Alexandria, Minn., David (Kathy) Clemence of Annandale, Minn., Jolene (Mike) Duellman of Champlin, Minn., and Jenny (Andy) Borkowski of Lewiston, Minn.; grandchildren, Matthew, Jeffrey (Kelly), Bradley (Kayla), Megan (Matt), Ryan, Marnie, Joseph, Nicholas, Jessica, Alyssa, Kayley, Brady and Marisa; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mason and Nolan; other extended family and many friends.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart; parents, John and Margaret; sister, Katharine Maciej; brother, Edward Hoffman; and son-in-law, James McInnis...." 1
