Lewis married Margaret Grace VIAL, daughter of James Smith VIAL and Margaret SMITH, on 26 Jan 1897 in St. Matthias' Church, Owaka, Otago, New Zealand. (Margaret Grace VIAL was born on 31 Dec 1869 in Provincial Hotel, Waipori, Otago, New Zealand and died in 1946 in New Zealand.)

   Marriage Notes:

"HARRIS-VIAL—On the 26th January, at St. Matthias's Church, Owaka, by the Rev. Canon Dodd, Louis Alfred, eldest son of Louis Harris, Dunedin, to Margaret Grace, eldest daughter of J. S. Vial, Owaka."
