Arthur R. Bray Sr., a resident of Davis Manor for the past five years, passed away on Thursday evening at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Ashley, he was a son of the late William and Susan (Remphrey) Bray. Prior to his retirement he worked for the Penn Central Railroad and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Mountain Top. Arthur was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed gardening.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a daughter, Sue Ann Larson; two sons, Russell A. Bray Sr. and Arthur R. Bray Jr.; a great-grandson, Victor Joseph Bray; two brothers, William and Charles; and a sister, Marion Buss.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, the former Irene Pealer, Mountain Top; daughters Vivian Korch, Nanticoke, and Marjorie Bray, Mountain Top; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren...." 2
