In 1871 Jane Lewis (35) of Llanaber [sic] and husband John Lewis (40) of Bachford Cheshire, police sergeant, were living in High Street Llanfihangel-y-Traethau. Present was [Jane'] father David Evans (78) of Llanfair, widower, labourer.
In 1891 Jane Lewis (57) of Llanbedr and husband John Lewis (60) of Backford Cheshire, police constable, were living at 23 Penhely Towyn Merioneth. With them was nephew John H. Williams (9) of Llanbedr.
In 1901 Jane Lewis (66) of Bont ddu and husband John Lewis (70) of Backford Cheshire were caretaking Market Hall College Green Towyn.
In 1911 Jane Lewis (74), widow, no children, was living at 17 Frankwell Street Towyn.
