Mark Bennetts arrived in Rockhampton on 30 Jun 1873 aboard the 'Countess Russell'. The ship departed London on 1 March 1873. His age was given as 21, and he was indentured. Many Qld mines were importing indentured workers at this time. His sister Jane and her family were also on the ship.
